A small rescue with a big heart
Pawnomenal is a 501(c)(3) animal rescue based in Carson, California. We started in a living room. We still kind of operate out of one — plus six garages, a back porch, and a vet's office that takes our calls at 9pm.

We show up for the ones who can't ask for help.
At Pawnomenal, we are dedicated to rescuing animals in urgent need and providing them with the compassionate love, comprehensive medical care, and rehabilitation they deserve to heal and thrive. From life-saving treatments to daily nourishment and emotional support, every step of their journey depends on generous hearts like yours.
Your donation helps us restore their health, renew their spirits, and place them into safe, loving forever homes where they will be truly cherished. Join us in giving these deserving animals a second chance—because with your support, their future can be truly pawnomenal.

Hi, I'm Patricia
Patricia Scott has been rescuing dogs in Carson for 10 years — out of every spare corner she can find. She's been known to gladly drive countless hours to pick up a dog with a medical emergency. She'd do it again tomorrow.
She started Pawnomenal in 2023 because she kept saying yes, and eventually "yes" became an organization. Today she runs every part of it — intake, foster matching, vet coordination, adoption follow-ups — with the kind of energy that makes you wonder if she sleeps.
But ask her about any of it and she'll redirect the credit straight to the families (volunteers and fosters). "I'm just a page in their story," she'll tell you. "The family gets to write the book."
